These chocolate protein donuts by @jchealth_ were way too good not to share! ??
Soft, cakey and fluffy, sweetened with banana and easy to make – what more could you want!?

Donuts ?
– 1/2 cup almond flour
– 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
– 1/2 cup protein powder (Jess used PranaOn)
– 3/4 cup plant milk
– 1 tsp baking soda
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– 1/2 cup peanut butter
– 2 mashed bananas
– 1 TBSP cocoa
– 1 flax egg (or normal egg)*
– Pinch of salt
Avocado frosting ?
– 1/2 an avocado
– 1 TBSP cocoa
– 1 TBSP maple syrup

– Preheat oven to 180 degrees
– Mix all dry ingredients into a bowl
– Mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth. Add in the milk and peanut butter
– Next mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients
– Spoon mixture into your donut tray and cook for 15 minutes
– Top with avocado frosting
– Enjoy!

To make a flax egg combine 1 TBSP of ground flaxseed with 3 TBSP of water and leave to sit for 5 minutes. Flax seeds are a great source of fibre and also omega-3 fatty acids ?
